Gorina cloth

FLE POOL INC continues to expand it product lines and now offers two brands of cloth for sale, Simonis and Gorina.

There are some who perfer the Gorina cloth. Especially in the Billiard 3-cushion world where quality and speed of the cloth, is the entire game. I have long rated Gorina as equal to simonis. This is from my personal testing of the two cloths side by side at my TV shows and appearances, and this is also the opinion of most of the experts in the game.

We are now an authorized dealer for Gorina, and have in stock the Basalt/ 860, the faster 2000/760, the Carom M/300, and a new slower Korean cloth for 4 ball caroms. This cloth is 88% worsted wool and 12% nylon. It is the professionals choice. “Worsted means only the longest wool fibers give it a superior weave construction for exceptional durability and appearance. The cloth is made in Spain and they have been in business since 1835.

I have said, do not use 2000/760 blend on home 8 or 7' tables, they are too fast, but I have always used it on my 9' tables and in my shows. I like a faster cloth, and they all slow down some in about a month. If you begin using a 760/2000 cloth on a 9' table, it will slow down to a brand new 860 speed, which is what you want. And the good news is on Gorina I can cut the price on the 2000 blend $13 below the price I sell the 860/Basalt. A better playing cloth, at less money. Only in the USA do they use 860 on 9' tables, the rest of the world, uses 760/2000.
