The Fast Larry library is back
About half of my articles are up in my web site www.fastlarrypool.com in the encyclopedia section, they are nicely organized.
Everything I have written over the last 7 years, is here, on pool chat, back in the archives, trying to find it all is the problem, using the search function can pull up a lot of stuff.
Some of the articles were burned on a disc.
Then disaster hit, a drive died and my cpu bit the dust. That was months ago, my new one is working fine, and I had 3 drives on the old one, the one that smoked, fortunatly I have found out, did not have most of the dAta or aritcles on it.
I have a new slot put in the front of my new cpu, where I can put in my old drive, or drives, one at a time, and now view all that was there, and move it around, acess it, or transfer it. All my articles, hundreds of them, enough data to fill at least, 4 or 5 full books, and the several books I have been writing for years, it there. What a relief.
I wrote a detailed answer to each pool question and over a period of a decade, I had a written answer in word, for just about any question you could ask me, many times, 2 or 3 articles, and you would get all I knew on that subject.
I'll be using them again, as newbies just coming in here, have never read most of them.

Fast, I have learned a lot from you about pool, even though I had played and read quite a bit prior to meeting you online.
Computers is what I know, and even though you know some from using them and selling them, let me tell you this.
Yo, youse needs to learn somthin' from gettin burned before. Get some of dem dare street smarts. Go to www.carbonite.com and drop $55 per year for an unlimited backup account for youse computer so all that stuff is safe. Easy to install, dumb simple to operate. Easy to get back stuff if you need it. Can't beat the price. I have mine on it and I just put the company I run on it for the individual PCs (they have a corporate account, a bit more but good at managing a group).
I love the encylopedia. Great stuff in there. Anyone reading this who has not checked it out, go read some. Better than most books I have read, and just as good as my to favorites.

FL SAY, yO, i TOUGHT backup wuz da dame dat moved da caddy to da front door when I wuz makin my get away. Yo Sarah say, I aint da brightest candle in da church. She say, Im 2 cans short of a 6 pack. Havin my cpu go up in smoke like Krac ka toe A, yo, wuz about as tramatic as when dey closed Atlanta Billiards and made it into a ford parking lot. Or when dee bulls raided poco locos ho house and shut it down. I still have not got over dat one and its been years.
I bought dis carbonite thingie. Everything dies, and youse is gonna pay somebody, some time. Friggen chink drives are shit. They are about as reliable as a $2 crack head ho.
Ize no/s all about dis back up stuff. I wuz one of does guys hu invented the ups, and I wuz dee original cpu back up guy. I sold big ass ups to the nuke plants, 50 G's a pop, and I got does guys so paranoid, I had them having ups's backing up ups's.
We didnt call dis, back up, weze called dis, redundency. I used to say, I did not belive in this until I learned to scuba dive and fly, then lost all my air at 110' down, now will only go down with 2 tanks, and lost a single engine at 5,000' on landing approach, now will only fly with 2 engines. Either one of these, should have killed me, but I have cheated death now 8 times and walked or crawled out of fatal crashes, crashed 3 planes, a few cars, go fast, shit happens.
That was why I hated to see the 4 engine jets go away, to two.
Even yo Ho, dudes, youse needs a backup for yo ole lady as well. She could kick off or walk off.
