hi larry...

a few days ago, i'm looking for a cue. as i'm searching, i found some cue that interested me much, which are joss and meucci. while looking about red dot and black dot cue, i accidentally found your website www.poolchat.net. i've already register, somehow, i still can't make a topic either reply. i hope we can talk, through this email, okay with you.

i need some experience advice, and i hope you could help me... i'm looking for a cue. for meanwhile i'm interested in meucci, because of their technology PowerPiston (now become ultra piston, if i'm not mistaken) and black dot. they have a very little of deflection. however, reading from your post, something getting bothers me. some people said, red dot is better, some black dot (with smaller tapper 12" - 12.5") are better, and some said meucci has finished (since bankrupt their quality getting worse).

well, i get some point. however the topic we're created in 2007-2008. it's almost 2 until 3 years ago. the black dot tech also change (now become 35 layer), PowerPiston change (now become Ultra Piston). and they said, meucci has bankrupt however now they open the New Factory in Byhalia, MS. i mean, if meucci getting worse, people will buy another better cue (such as joss, balabushka or whatsoever) and sooner or later, meucci will fall by time. in case, meucci getting bigger and they create more another cue. my question is, have you ever tried the newest meucci (the ultrapiston and black dot 35 layer)? is the qualiy getting better (like bob meucci said in his website, a lower deflection and better than red dot) or getting worse? in my country, it's hard to find a billiard cue. we have to imported from your country. that's why your expertise in cue experience will help me so much.

second, i'm interested when you pick joss as your recommended cue. because my second recommendation also joss. do you mind to explain and tell me, why you choose joss J4900 rather than other joss cue? i mean joss have a lot of cue, what's so special with those cue? and what shaft did you use?

your help means very much to me. thx before...

mcdhol,

(((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((***)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))

I do not recommend any Meucci, due to quality problems, most of their cues are now made in China.

I push the Joss 4900 because of the high quality and low price I can sell it at. I have another low cost one I will be bringing out very soon.

There are no FOOKING Magic Cues, but the Joss, and PLAY, or LEARN TO PLAY!

You can't go wrong with a Joss cue! They are very good playing cues & a world above the cheaper junk cues. You do get what you pay for with a Joss. Go for the Joss that Larry recomends & you won't be sorry. Then practice, practice & practice until that cue becomes part of your arm!
