Zion is calling me

I am going, zion smy yum, where is that.

I forgot, I had not been there in 35 years. The ancient spirts are calling to me, to return on last time, to come to the sacred center of the earth to heal, and they will give me peace, harmony and renew my devotion to God. That was the message. They feel my pain.

Okie Dokie, looks like I am going out to Utah soon. As that is precisely what I need, right now.

click the start button at the top to see a short film of the park.

If you want more, order off netflex the Imax one on Zion.

I have been there. If you are looking for somewhere to help find your "center" Zion is the place to be. I spent som time there sleeping in some of the same caves as the Anasazi centuries before me. The only other place I have ever felt the same is Bryce Canyon. I camped in the center of six hoodoos back in the seventies. When I woke in the morning the sun was just touching the tops of the columns. A magnificienbt sight I will remember to my grave.

Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for dinner. Liberty is a well armed lamb contesting the vote.

Yes, the anasazi are calling me, I must go, respond. I do not ask why. I have felt great spirits also in the Petrified forest.

I would love a chance to walk around the old Anasazi ruins. Of course I'm a major history buff. I have a couple of books written that briefly give some minor details about the archaelogical digs around the ruins.

Kachinas and Kokopelli.

The 2 of you are very fortunate to have spent some time there.

My best half is just not into anything historical and I'm beginning to starve culturally. I've often tried to explain to her just how important history is to us all and she doesn't get the concept that sometimes you have to look at where you've been to see where you're going.
Yet, despite the look on my face, you are still talking.

Sarcasm. Just one of my many talents.

I'll work up from Tombstone and the southern part of Arizona, into Vegas, over to the North rim of the Grand Canyon, and then up to Zion. I plan to spend a couple of days there, just hiking and turning off my two cell phones, going out of contract with the world for a while. I need to commune, with the old ones.
