I now have over 2,000 DVD movies copied or owned as original discs in my library. It's rich with all the classics and 4 stars movies from 1915 to date.

I am now reaching the end where the collection becomes complete. I am bringing in my last 100 which should only take a couple of months to process them.

How I missed that one I don't know, I caught the remake sequel, it was not close to being as good as the original. It was fantastic, how a movie should be made. 4 stars, I loved it.

20 years ago, this shit, this trash would have never been allowed to have even been released or seen.
Stupid name, stupid movie, so bad, I would not even copy it and put it in my library, total pos. It's not even a copy of the original, which was a pos, he just ripped the name off. Yes, on a high budget movie there were many cool scenes and shoot outs, but back to the stupidity, a jew out fit dropped in Nazi territory and they are wiping out the Wermercht with 9 guys, they would be fuckin dead in 48 hours. There was no such out fit, and they wipe out the entire german high command, the top 4, plus hitler, more stupidity, and there was no security at the cimema. How stupid that was, that no guards are out side, so they can lock the doors on all of them, ridiculous. The German high command was in Berlin, not Paris, and Hitler spent a total of 2 days there in Paris and never came back, and would never ever be caught in a cinema like Lincoln or advertise where he was going to be in occupied hostile territory full of frogs who hated his guts so they could wack him. He survived dozens of plots to kill him, because nobody knew when he was coming, and even when they did, he constantly changed plans times, routes, so nobody could set up and be waiting for him. He was to spend an hour in a museum viewing new paintings, he walked in and out in 5 minutes, before the armed bomb could go off, when he left, they turned off the timer.

Brad Pit put in an acting job that sucked, he was beyond awful, right with his phony lousy accent, they put the wrong guy in that part. Look, I love Brad pit, this is his first movie he did any acting, I did not like. Shit, you wanted a Clint Eastwood to lead that bunch, or Lee Marvin, or Tommy Lee Jones, or R Lee. Somebody with some hair on their ass, not some pretty boy.

Would you make a product, and wait 40 years to sell it then? Not a lot was put away, mostly for the families and friends, and later, a new generation would rather sell it, than drink it. And IMHO, shindlers list was an average fairly boring movie, produced by jews, directed by a jew, to bash germans. Kill Bill, was a masterpiece, 5 stars, one of the greatest movies ever made, so I will give the little queer credit when he gets lucky and nails one. But this piece of shit, damn, it was a bomb, like Valkarie. You expect to see something great in both, and you get fed, hollywood bull shit. They feel they can sell shit to 14 year old lame brain kids who don't know shit and can't figure out its a shit movie when it hits them in the face. That does not matter, because they will make millions at the box office on it, selling kids, shit. I am sure all of those dork pimple faced nerds thought it was fuckin great. These little ass holes would not know a great movie from a hole in the ground. Show enough blood and gore, they love it. Its a sign of our sick times, our sick culture, and our sick youth. I could not agree with you more on this subject. I have yet to see Inglorious but it is on my list. Give me the classics anytime. I have seen the '40 Zorro several times and that was all it took for me to get hooked on any & all Zorro films since then. IMHO, they've all been done well. Love the old Errol movies as well. Objective Burma was one my favorites and he portrayed Gentleman Jim really well. He did a great job as Custer and it was one of the rare few that did not show Custer as the incompetent, arrogant, "in love with his own legend" fool that Custer really was.

To some degree I envy your collection but though I have a few movies here and there, I'm not a big collector, and if it's something I feel that it is worth adding to my collection, it must have made a great impact on me.



FL SAY: yES, watching the 1940 Zorro first, is a must, then you see the model they all copied over the years. And they all were fine. What pisses me about these German bashing movies by the jews, is they wont allow jew bashing, but they enjoy bashing Germans and they are getting by with it because no body will speak up and challenge them. I stress, I am not anti Jew, I have many Jewish friends and overall, I admire the race of people. I do not have any of the Nazi master race concepts. You find, DVD fab 6, then you can copy and burn, any movie. Your cost per disc, 35 cents, your thin case, 25 cents, I buy them in bulk, and your rental of the movie, I bring in 8 at a time from Netflix and 3 at a time from blockbuster, so I copy 20 a week, and that is going to cost about a buck in rental fees, so the disc that hits the shelf is going to be costing me about $1.50, instead of the $5 to 10. And then, its over and there they all are, you are out $3,000 for the DVD's, a thousand for the 3 nice wood shelfs. 2,000 movies, takes up a lot of space. Its a $4,000 collection. And if you went out and bought all of them at $6 each, and many will be 10 or more, its now serious money. I would suggest you get a shelf up, and make you, your own list, of your top 100, and begin your collection there.
Yo Sarah buys a lot at a local used DVD store she cruises a lot, she is into these older chick movies. You can buy used DVD's cheap on Amazon.
Having such a collection of movies is a modern marvel, only a few decades ago, only a few Hollywood mogals had this.

Try and watch a good movie on spike, or Turner, and every fookin 5 minutes, they are gone for 6 minutes of 15 stupid aggravating commercials. And they cut a major chunk of the movies heart out, because it that. Try and watch Blazing Saddles on TV, they cut out all the funny parts so not to offend our black brothers, who were never offended by it in the first place, they all thought it was funny as hell like we did, they even cut out the fart beans scene. If I see the movie, want to see it again, I turn off spike, and put my disc in. I have Starzs and showtime, and cable with amc and others, which allow me to watch a movie, non stop. I will not, watch commercials, which means, I watch very little network TV. When a commercial comes on, I hop to another channel. I spend a lot of time on Nat Geo, the history channel, the military channel, things which educate me. If I want to be entertained I get Yo Sarah naked in bed, and pour my self a glass of single malt.

Saw notorious last night, thought it was badly done, on the back lot and not on location, acting, poor, action, deadly dull, and the ending I thought was incomplete. One of the few hitchock or Cary Grant movies I did not like. They kept throwing the Casablaca cast together, trying to catch another miracle, which they never did. I actually saw this one, at the movies, when it came out.

I love a good war movie, and nam is hot in 68, so we send in the Duke to win it for us. It was a good propaganda move, to try and sell the war to Americans who did not want it then. This was the only squeeky clean gung ho movie of nam made, and a lot, did not like it, but it was well done, the ones that followed, would project the soldiers as shit, and the war shit.
The worst was that pos, apocolypse now, which I never understood. Platoon I liked.

Sarah, it was done in 1943, and the main battles of Norht Africa were over, but we wanted to put out a BS Americans win the war flick. It was really well done, acting was great, a good war flick.
I recommend watching it. Bogey was great.

But the part, where 9 boys, decide to dig in and take a stand against 500 africa corp mechanized and armored, and win and capture all of them, was BS, they would have ran, like rabbits. Sort of a made up 1943 Alamo BS story. Hollywood BS goes way back.

While this may be a propaganda film, it is no "our hero wipes out an enemy division without a scratch" potboiler. On the contrary, the decision made by Sgt. Joe Gunn (Bogart) to stay and fight a German regiment rather than heading for British lines is a desperate gamble little better than a suicide mission. This brings up my second point; the ethical question. Are you a fuckin idiot, or a hero? I guess, any one who wins a medal of honor, has to be, a fuckin idiot. No sane man, would do it?

Destry rides again, its 1939 and dated, but its a classic western movie and a must have in any good library. Its the basic story, Mel Brooks stole, to do Blazzing Saddles off of. Once you watch it, then you will see it. He just swapped a white sheriff, for a black one. I liked it a lot.
