The one pocket power draw shot. SHOT A
This is a very advanced shot, and will probably require coaching with an expert to get this one going. The one ball is frozen to the rail, as is the cue ball, they are about l l/2 balls away from each other. You angle the cue off coming into the CB, note the CB in the diagram marked A, that is where your cue will lie, on that red line, about .8 or almost a diamond up from the foot rail. You now load it up low left about 7:30, shoot into the rail and try and jam the one into the corner pocket. If you hit this well, you can hit it with half power. I can bring the CB all the way down table and back around and up, so I have to back off my draw here. If the pocket is not tight, it’s an easy shot. If you have 4.5” pockets, it might blip out a lot and I would probably play safe and not shoot. Some tables take this shot well, others do not. Gold Crowns don’t like it. It’s the offset line up that makes this shot possible. There is a danger of a scratch in side pocket B, but knowing the proper angle in eliminates that. You can make this shot and go a foot inside side pocket B, or a foot past it, depending on angle in and the English used.

Shot B
The follow option. The draw is the best shot and the easiest, but your path down table may be blocked and you have to resort to the more difficult force follow. Another advanced coaching shot. You establish a cue line parallel to the rail, and your shaft must be level with the bed, then you do a strong, but not hard, a medium soft push sort of stroke through the ball. Hit it hard and the shot blips out. You use the loaded up English, to take off the long rail and spin you down table. Soft is best for this shot, learning to spin it down, not pound it down table. Shots A & B are only going to work if the CB-OB are separated by a ball to l.5 balls, past two ball spacing the shot falls apart.
OPTION C
Then your only option is to jack up, hit a jump shot with loaded English, the cue ball rides up on the rail, then kicks off and runs down table. A very impressive video shot, but in real life, the odds of pulling it off are poor. I would play safe rather than attempt something that is a 1 in 10, 1 in 20 shot.

OPTION D Cross bank with reverse
http://CueTable.com/P/?@3ANUj1HBMi4PEGl3Qc...kbPx2kQOX1uApU@
This is another desperation shot, but if you practice it, you will eventually get and understand how it works. It comes up more often than you think. It’s another 1 in 5 shot, not good odds. Potting the one here is easy into A, getting down table is the problem. You can do this a couple of ways, go slightly into the rail first and you are hitting the one full, but with just enough angle right of center to escape and slide down table. You hit this shot hard and there is no chance to pot the one in A, it will blip out on you, so using all that loaded right, fires the one into the right point of the corner pocket and cross banks it back into corner pocket B. The loaded CB with right transfers left reverse English on the one ball. This shot works good on Gold Crowns which had shape punitive points in the pockets. By shooting flush into the one, but a tad right of center, you give up the pot in A, but get down table doing this, and you depend on a bit of a luck shot off the point. You are driving the one ball into the short rail and it comes into the pocket on the high right side and hitting that point is a small target. Hard is good, very hard and fast.
SHOT 111
Trapped on the rail and escapes A.
When most are on or close to the rail and straight in they are doomed if they have to go all the way up table. There are many options to consider.
The cue ball and 5 are both 1” off the rail and straight in. Power force follow hitting the 5 just a tad left of center using one tip up and one tip right I put the cue ball up table on the other short rail on the 8 to win. Use a long level follow through. This requires an advanced stroke to pull off.

SHOT 112
Trapped on the rail and escapes B.
The 5 and cue ball are now both the same distance off the rail and only l/4”. To change the angle up table, or when you are this close to the rail it’s necessary to aim into the short rail first and then come off into the 5 using one tip up and one tip right. I come up table to the opposite short rail with ease.

SHOT 113
Trapped on the rail and escapes C.
Being trapped down table on the rail and so close to the cue ball any attempt to power out of there would foul as a push and go no where. The 5 is on the rail and the cue ball is l/4” off and both balls are l/4” apart. Doomed, yes, for you, but not for me. I have saved my bacon from this spot a zillion times which is why both of my thumbs are so crooked. I use my 19 oz finesse Schuler masse cue, jack up and hit low right and up table I go. I hit it medium soft and end up on the other short rail with no problemo. I could go all the way up and back down if I choose to as I can generate tremendous power from this position. I use this shot to escape, bust up clusters and all kinds of creative things.

SHOT 114
Trapped on the rail and escapes D.
When the OB is a little further off the rail, here 2 balls but you are still straight in and or you need to get up table on the left side, so far we have been going right, you hit a power draw. Load it up with maximum left very low and you now need to employ an advanced professional stroke to get up to the short rail where I did. Aim into the left of the pocket because of all the throw right and the key is to almost hit the OB full. When the cue ball draws back and hits the first long rail on the right the English reverses into running and the shot literally explodes up table. This is the most thrilling draw shot you can every make.

Wei table diagram. To open and see a shot when there is a line of Html code like this:
http://CueTable.com/P/?@1EAKq1PALH4QPBE2Rd...kALH4kQfn1uCtP@
Place your mouse on the line and hold down Ctrl button and shift on your left bottom of your key board and hit left click on your mouse fast twice, give it a few seconds to load and the shot and table diagram will appear. Depending on the speed and condition of your computer, this may take 20 seconds, so wait for it to come up.
To learn how to draw such shots takes some practice and the site will teach you now it works.
http://cuetable.com/mission.html
Begin by hitting the main on the left side which will show you examples of how it works. You can then open a table on the right side and begin to draw. If you have any problems in knowing how to export your shot to our site then email me at Flepool@bellsouth.net
When the table is first displayed all your controls will be on the bottom long rail. On the far left see an X and a ? Click the X, the rail fills up with options. I now drag and drop my Cb and Ob, then click and drag lines to display where they go. To the right of the ? I click the cue ball, then I drag the blue mark from the center and leave it on the ball where I want to show what English I am using. To the right of the side pocket I click the pool cue and it displays. To the right of this you see 3 little red boxes, go to the far one on the right, the 3rd one, and click it, then go to your post and the html code should then drop and display. To the right of this is a X, so if you mess up, you click the x and the table clears and you can start over. There are many more things you can do by studying the site but these are the main controls I use.
