Let's expose the pool cheats

The way to not get cheated, is to be wise to what they do. Perhaps some stories of what you all have seen would be nice?

Long ago I saw someone bump the table hard with his hip.....to sink a hangar that might not have dropped. During a tournament this weekend, I saw another guy get accused of slapping a corner pocket with a hanging ball. Someone else told me they once saw a pro do this, and use his fingers to drop the hanging ball on the slap. Its easy enough to imagine this particular guy practicing to pull something like that off, but I wont mention his name. To top that off, Robles tells a group of us that he busted another great player cheating on him. He would periodically wipe down the cue ball, but with a damp towel full of armor all! Strickland and Schmidt are known for this. This gives them a hot cue ball and it changes on you.

We have all seen the spit between the balls, or on the cue tip...but what other unsavory tricks have you guys seen or heard of?

I have heard of a guy raking a ball off into a pocket on his side when playing one pocket if his opponent wasn't watching.

Oh yes, You have no idea, how easy this is to do and how people just assume you are honest. Part of my training of a committed long term student, is to do to them, what Tiger Woods dad did to him, harass them, shark them, yap at them, yell at them, physically threaten them, you name it, I do it, until it no longer has any effect on them, then I stop. If they can handle what I can dish out, they then, can handle anyone anywhere. They are trained to tune me out and ignore everything I say or do and let nothing I do, affect them emotionally.

In lesson one, which is on tape, we play games, and in every game, when he misses and goes to his chair, I come up fast, and at that point where he turns his back to me, very fast, I move on him, and move one of his balls into a cluster, which was not there. Next time up I move one of my trouble balls loose, or shove one in a pocket. I move one of his coins back taking a game away from him. I literally rob the buy blind, and he never sees it because he is not looking for it. He assumed I was honest.

Once I tell him what I did when we are done, so he can go home and watch the daylight robbery take place, the lesson is, in a pool hall, at a pool table, you trust nobody, not me, not yo granny, they will all rob you blind. You never take your eyes off of the opponent any time he goes close to that table.

When you leave the table to go to the bar or can, never do it mid game, but if you must, take a good look at where the balls are, and call out the score, so he does not move the coins.

Never leave an open drink or beer, take it with you, so you do not get mickeyed. Always take your cue with you, so it does not get stolen or they don't spit on your tip. Always use your own chalk, which you keep in your pocket. I always put out a doctored brand new piece I put some water on and let it dry off, so his draw will go dead and he will lose all position feel.

Remember the people who do this she-yit, are simple predators, they do not go to church, they are nothing but trash criminals with out any conscience. These cons smile in your face, while they are stealing from you.
