There is no way to account for peoples taste, or how the love of cue designs changes over the years. Me, its simple, I am a dino, from the 50's, that is what I know and love. In order to get me to play with a pink stealth, cue with the butt all twisted up like a pretzel, you would have to put a glock to my head.
But I don't own a skate board, and I don't text, my hair does not stand straight up in spikes, and I do not have rings on my tongue and tits and Willie. My body is not covered with tattoos like some jungle snake, in fact, I don't have a single one. Okie dokie, different strokes, fo different folks, I can go there dudes.
The GB=7 was always my favorite cue. I began playing with in when it came out a decade ago. I own about 4 of them, plus 16 shafts. 2 are played with hard, one lightly, one is brand new. I thought it was one of the most beautiful cues ever made. Yes, George never made anything this pretty, or gaudy, his work was mostly plain by today's standards. I was not surprised to see sales stop and this go away. The new Ltd's are so superior to it its not funny. What a cue, I morn its passing. Don't even think about trying to buy one of mine, forget that. I am rich, don't need the money, you will waste your time, as many have, try ebay. The 100 cues in my collection, which are my primos, will only be sold, when I croak.
What I did not understand was the GB-4 being dropped due to no sales. That is exactly what a real bushka looked like. People who have the money are going into the LGB 20'S, or the Ltd's, or they go low end GB 1-2 or 3. The middle of the line is in trouble. I only have 2 of these 4's which are brand new and again, not for sale. I would suggest any serious collector to try and snag one on eBay now.
click the pics to enlarge them, sorry the site will not allow me to focus on the 4 or 7 or copy larger pics of them.
