Robin Dodson, Hall of Fame inductee from 2005, raffles off a new Brunswick table every year at the BCA National Tournament in Vegas.
This year the prize is a Gold Crown V, including delivery anywhere in the US and Canada and professional set up. Tickets are $20 and there will only be 500 sold.
Dodson Raffle of Brunswick Gold Crown V
Robin's been doing this for 8 years and has always sold the tickets only at the tournament, but because of the poor economy this year has decided to take orders over the web.
The drawing will be on May 16th. I bought a ticket and it was delivered via snail mail in a couple days. I also received a quick email notifying me of payment received.
These tickets are going quick, so if you want one you best get it soon.

It's the same con on the state lottery, you can't win if you don't play, and somebody has to win.
Do the math, she buys the table for 3 to 4K, it sells for 6, she makes 10, pockets 7K, I do not call that generosity, I call that nothing but a good con...Remember, she was a heroin addict and street hooker for years, they can wave their bible all they want to at me, but tigers rarely change their stripes, they just change the color of them. Many become Jesus cons, that sells better.
I have stayed out of these for years because most of them I have seen were fixed and rigged. All the names in the box are the same person, It's its a box you can't see through and the name is taped inside on the wall so you can grab it going in, or when they draw, they have that name, palmed in their hand so you can't see it.
Knowing how this works, and unfortunately there have been so many crooked cue raffles, most everyone else as well knows they are usually rigged, on my give aways in public, I would always pick a small child to come up and pull the winning ticket which were in a big clear bowl, so they can't palm the number, or have it up their sleeve. After the drawing, I laid out all the tickets on the table telling every one to come inspect them to insure, their ticket was in there and they had a chance to win. You paid nothing to play, and somebody walked off with a $3,000 table, for free.
So you ask them in advance, if they will do those two things, and if they won't, walk away.

In this case, they are having you buy the table and give them a handsome profit, so there is no reason for them not to actually give it away to a lucky guy and not some shill winner, which of course does not mean greed will come into the picture.
Personally, I would not buy anything from this lady, nada. I would trust her, as far as I can throw her.
So you ask them in advance, if they will do those two things, and if they won't, walk away. If she is pulling the ticket and winner, hello goodbye. Now they can tell you one thing, get your money, then do what ever they want to at the drawing. I've seen that one also.
I read in our state lottery this guy walks into a 7-11 store, buys a couple of tickets, and becomes a double winner, wins 250K on one, 100K on the other. That guy was a shill and somebody in the lottery planted them there, and they split the money up later on. Nobody is that lucky. You cant trust no one, no more.
