So i've been playing with my stroke/grip the whole summer, to this month.
Somedays good, some days bad, somedays really good.

But never like this, and the streak has been lasting for 2 days. I went back to my old stroke just for the **** of it.

hold with 2-3 fingers, the fingers aren't even wrapped around the cue buttmore like if you.. press fingesr together against thumb.... yea like that...

with this, i have this major funky wrist movement that i grooved for aro und 3 1/2 years and that i have been trying to rid of all summer and stuff. (keep in mind on my best days I can get out in 2 innings or run, so it' snot like I don't know jack she-yit about pool, I do know a lot of advanced stuff)

to onlookers, i tlooks like some whacky strok from ****, a ###### stroke, but.. guess what? I ran a heck of a rack, it was a HARD rack to run, one of those racks y ou see earl run super fast, whre you go, dam u gotta hit that long distnace with a lot of english.. then same with next shot.. again aagina.. i ran all the way.. an di was laughing.

I think i either ran, return ran, or 2innings out, over 15+ in a 1hour and half period.. I'm sure i'me xaggerating thes enumbers, but i'm dam sure i twas guarnateed more than 7+

I was testing out this funky stroke, while it does look funky, when i do the willy hoppe drill, i get my most consident lags, jacked up, non jacked, draw, center, top

sometimes i might even steer to one directon, but it'll still go traight, some weird *** strok flaw that comes up sometimes, although most of the time it's dead on straight.
I feel kind of bad because it feel slike i'm letting my basics go down the gutter, but it also feels so right, the balls just fly in and i get position. and to reaffirm, i played tonight.. same results. I don't even think, i just hit and it flies in on some shots. I was jacked up over a corner pocket, long overcut shot into corner pocket on 1 ball, made it with my funky stroke.

This streak feels the best out of all the other dead/stroke streaks iv'e been on. Should I keep this funky stroke? Did i just happen to groove the bad swing and am making it work so don' change it? or should i ruin my game to change it?

PS: as you may alraeyd know, i've worked a long time trying to fix this storke.

btw. with thsi funky stroke, i'm hitting my breaks a lot more dead on. I'm getting a lot more cb control and power, i mean a LOT more power, enough power that even some of the regulars go DAM (an di'm not even going max speed)

Sometimes making a change, in a grip, a stance, kicks something in and you begin to smoke. Golfers change putters when their feel goes bad. A pool player never changes a cue. If it is working for you, go with what you know, go with what feels good to you. I would have to see it live, to go beyond that.

That one hard rack, I felt like Earl stricklnad smoking around ... seeminly not caring if he was to miss this shot.

(man so i see him use excessie spin on.. 80% of his shots).

I've noticed that playing on less than optimal house cloth, 1 tip or more is required, (right, or can u still use the shot of doom, cheat pocket, semi cheat, use stuns and slides? to move along rails?)

I'm very much used to english in all speeds, so it's more of a matter of.. will i miss THIS shot and get run out on vs a good player?
not "i'm def gonna miss this shot" more like.. "i'm proably gonna make it. but english makes it harder"

I've noticied on very fast tables, U can probalby get away with not using much or any english, I've only played on 1 like this so far. Once.... maybe.. more instances of reverse to slow down...

You brought up a great point, You are on a worn out table with worn out old rails. We pros play on only brand new tables, with very hot rubber, you have slow worn out house cloth, we have brand new Simonis 860, which is probably twice as fasty as your cloth, so all our shots, look easier, all our draws and follows go twice as far, so we can use less English and more finesse.

If we had to play on your table, we would struggle just like you do. You would be surprised, we are not that much better than your top league apa7s', we just know more, we are more consistent and we think better.
