Make this shot and you have a pro draw. I jump draw over a shaft, 9' down table, pot the one ball, draw 9' back up the long rail to pot the 9 ball, 2in2. This is a full DF11. One of the most difficult draw shots there is. Make this shot and your draw is pro level. My cloth was 860, cue Balabushka, 11.5mm Talisman H tip.

I like to think I have a good draw, but nobody else agrees with me!

I must confess that I haven't seen the video, but I have seen Fast Larry's video of him doing a table length draw (ala 3 cushions style) where the cue ball was nestled up against the object ball and he jacked up the butt of his cue and that cue ball zipped! - literally flew to the other side and hugged the rail the whole way. I tried that on my table and stopped after a couple of failed attempts because I was adding spots to my simonis cloth.

The Woim

I just watched it! Fast Larry jumps over a shaft and does a table length draw with the object ball an inch or two away from the corner pocket! That deserves a round of aplause!

As for myself, I set the cut ball on the first diamond away from the corner pocket and then put my object ball a diamond away from the opposite corner pocket but on the same side of the table and I've only done a table length draw a couple of times on an eight foot table and only once on a 9 footer but I successfully pulled off the slip stroke on that one.

The usual result when I try to do a table length draw is 50/50 miscue with cue ball flying from the table or I'll stun the cue at the object ball.

The draw shot is really a favorite shot in every pool players arsenal.

Yours Truly,
The Woim

You guys will never know how tough this one is, until you try it. Remember this is a DF11, which means there is just a small handful of players in the world who can make these. Byrne wrote, I have learned to stop tearing up my table trying to make these DF 11's, accept a lower place on the tree of pool and be at peace with this.

The secret to the shot is to be looking at the CB at impact, hitting very low, one tip left. Drawing back up table is easy, drawing back up and staying on the rail is the challenge here. This shot I hit too good, it stayed on the rail all the way up which ate up the speed I had on it. If you keep it off the rail you have a better chance to get up table, but usually miss the 9 wide to the right a couple of inches.

Thanks guys, you are the great one here, not me, glad you enjoyed the shot, and to fully appreciate it, go try and make it and then you will see what a real life DF11 is.
