I'm guessing this post has come up before, but I took a look through some of the old posts and I didn't see anything. I was just wondering how you guys found out about this forum. Accident? Googled it? Just curious.

My story is that I called FL inquiring about a trick shot show for my school back around last December or so. We talked for a bit, but unfortunately never booked anything. Me and my board at school decided to go for a local artist. We exchanged e-mails at the time, and a few months later I got an invitation to come chat about pool from a FL e-mail. At first I only hopped on once every couple weeks or so, then I made an account when I was working in the office and was bored. I began to visit more frequently, but never made any posts. Now I check in almost everyday and started to post some. So... thanks for that e-mail FL

Any interesting stories out there?

I discovered this site from Fast Larry's webpage. I discovered Fast Larry because there is a handful of good kind people  at AZ Billiards who insisted I was FL and then they banned me! While banned, I decided to research Fast Larry.

So, to edit a lot of extraneous stuff from my post, that's how I discovered this website.

Yours Truly,
The Woim

I found the site by accident. I had just left my job with sprint to work for a dealer doing the same thing (repairing cell phones). I didn't have much to do but sit around and surf the web. So being bored and waiting for my divorce to finalize, I went back to the only thing that brought a smile to my face, pool. I went to google and looked for pool related forums. I saw a site that listed them and compared them to each other. Poolchat was mentioned and the person didn't list it as her favorite, but she did say that the person running the site had extensive knowledge of the game. So I came here, met my new girlfriend through posting here and have been here ever since.

I conceived a place where there would be no fighting, no calling names, no attacking people or hurting them just because you did not like what they said. I wanted free speech, as long as you are polite. I wanted upscale people, not pool hall trash and bottom feeders. I wanted a board to police its self and every one to be a moderator and to speak up when somebody got out of line. We have 3 moderators and they are like the maytag repair man, they have nothing to do. I think I met my goals and I am proud of what we all built together. I am pround of all the fine friends I have here. For that, I am very thankful. I did not do all of this, there have been many fine people helped me build this in the last 5 years. They all saw the vision, a special place and they all wanted to protect it and keep the dream alive.

As long as I am able to and you're around, I will be here here to help you keep that dream alive.

I found this site looking for a pool cue and how to customize a sneaky pete. I really should just get a custom sneaky or something.
When you are riding it
home, can see the finish line, don't spit da bit, begin beating the ass
with your riding whip and yell out like Tarzan, who's yo daddy. When
she screams FL, don't take it too hard, life goes on.

I was on one of the other pool sites, may have been AZ.

I discovered Fast, and then this site (when it was under a different name).

Over the course of a few weeks I gradually stopped using the other site and moved over here. I prefer it here, Fast and the guys have built a great place.
