When you are imparting english or side should you try to keep your cue as leveled as possible (trying to keep your hitting hand as low as possible verses it high which will make the stick slanted like this / tip of the cue is alot lower then the end of your cue stick)?

If the cueball is curning on ya you have the butt way too high for simple english. You be doing a masse'. Larry will explain better after he comes back on. To be perfectly honest, if'n you are just starting to play do not worry about english. Got a lot of things to learn afore ya gets to that.

I have been playing for a while now and I can play without english very well. Just trying to kick it up a notch by learning ball placement.

I find that it's easier for me to apply top english much easier if I drop the butt of my cue down rather that hold the entire cue high and level. But other than that I try to hold my cue level at all times.
