pool/billiards referee

Hi Berny,

I see from your profile that you are a VNEA Referee. How does one become a pool/billiards referee? I live in the Peoria, IL. area and am interested in refereeing pool.

I have been playing APA and Shooters league for about 15 years. I am a retired military person. I love the game in it's entirity; playing, watching, talking about, learning.

I am not looking for a career just the opportunity to further get involved in pool.

Hi onebigred51, I apologize I missed this post originally. The best suggestion I have for you for becoming a referee is to contact your local league office and ask how to become a referee. That is what I did, our referee school was in Las Vegas at the National Championships, but yours may be much closer.
