Rookie 14.1 Rules Question

Hello to all. First-time post!

I just need to confirm something...

In 14.1, let's say I miss the shot I called (say, the 5 in the corner) and another ball goes in any pocket, that other ball is "illegally pocketed" and gets spotted.

Is that correct?

Correct. If you called that 5 and missed and it goes up table and 4 rails back down and pockets in the called corner it counts. If you call the 5 and make it and knock in 2 other balls in 2 other pockets you have 3 points.
