I am a choking dog

Maybe its like AA, if I get up and scream it out to the world this monkey will get off my back. I shoot Ok, am playing nice and smooth running out and get to the key ball before the 8, or on the 8, or at 9 ball get to the 7 or 8 and go bllind, stupid, lock up and blow it.

I do all the hard work, get all the balls off the table and leave some bum a run out my granny can do.

How do I stop choking my own throat. It's driving me wild.

If youre not a good finisher, its like you said....youre beating yourself. Chances are, you are allowing the tension to build with every shot. Try to get a feel for that, sense it, and stop it. Easier said than done, but you can do it if you concentrate on just that for awhile.

For most of us it takes years to learn how to control ones emotions and play nice and calm with out getting excited.

It's all about staying on this even keel and not rocking the boat. You have to lose your fear of missing or losing.

I found in my case, I was actually concetrating too hard on the shot. I was actually letting my mind make the shot a lot harder than it really was. So I started just looking at he shot then at the position I wanted, and during the shot my mind is on the position I will get . It works really well for me. There are some shots however, that require all your attention to pocket them, and ever once in a while you lose partial control of the cue ball .

This is a big problem, and step one is to get it out in the open, and admit it.
Step 2 is to find somebody like me, that can heal you.
