Well if i shoot soft with middle of follow i can make a shot pretty often..
But when i want to hit it just a little harder with follow or draw my accuracy just goes to shit..
would this be more of a stroke problem im guessing
or a grip problem..
or both .
any drills to get me better thanks

When my stroke gets off I have the same problem. I go back to basic drills straight in shots, no english just stun, pop 'em hard and moving back until you are comfortable with the shot.
I also try to think "Do I really have to shoot this hard? Is there another shot or another pocket that works just as well without the power".
Sometimes you have to shoot firmly seldom do you have to shoot hard.

I usually blame my grip. If I rattle a hard draw shot, I missed the ball--this means my stroke is off. Why is my stroke off? Usually because I have changed my grip. Sometimes I tense up, sometimes I'm just thinking about it too much. Find that grip that makes it feel good, and you make everything with--and memorize it. I'd make a paster-mold of my grip if I could so when I'm off my game, I could check it!

Yea i think its my grip..
On the shots that i try to put a little more power into it. It seems that i end up really squeezing the cue.. which i know is bad, Its just hard for me not to.. force of habit.. hopefully it goes away..

Have you tried testing your stroke?
hit the cue ball from the short rail down the tail, try to make it come back to your tip.
You are most likely putting unwanted english on the ball, especially when hitting hard, you might be putting a twist or something in your stroke to do that.
I find that the power comes from a very loose arm, particularly the wrist. More effortless power and spin.
