I've recently came across a new service that seems fairly interesting. Frapper lets you add your zip code to a map of the world, using google maps, and lets you see where everybody else is in relation to you. I really would like all of you to register. We have quite a few regulars, and this can be neat.

I've created a link to the PoolChat Frappr group at http://www.frappr.com/poolchat . Please add your name and zip code to the list, along with your PoolChat username.

That was supposed to be a surprise, and you ruined it! Thanks Larry

Just kidding. Yes, this is quite possible, and I figured we could do that, or even in the meantime people close to each other could meet and play.

I've met some of my best friends through the internet, in a roughly similar setting. I'm even going to be his best man at his wedding next year :-D

If any of you do decide to meet, and you're not sure if you trust the person, have some common sense. I don't want to be responsible for anybody getting hurt/mugged, but I don't see that happening with this crowd :-)

That is why they call him Fast, he is always one step ahead of you? I would drive a couple hundred miles to attend a tourney. Maybe Larry could toss in a trick shot show and do a teaching clinic, that would draw well.
Cool Cue Dude

Paco, if I get a car next month, as I think is going to happen, you're about two hours away from Lexington Park, where my girlfriend teaches. I'll hopefully be visiting her about once a month, and you're pretty much on the way. No guarantee, but if you'd like, I can probably stop and we can hit up a pool hall for a while.

That goes for anybody on the way from Ohio to Maryland. I'm not a great player, but I'll hopefully make you work for the win :)

Sure, just let me know when you are coming and we can try to work something out. Frederick, MD is a good place to go. Larry has been to my stomping grounds there.

Awesome :)

I'm diggin' this. If you zoom in on your marker, you can move it exactly to wear your house is on the map, if you wish. Mine's sitting directly above me.

Edit: I also have an older picture of myself tied to that username.

i dont go to cal poly pomona but I am part of their Philipino Club.

Do you know where Banks Billiards is? It's on Imperial Hwy right next to a bowling alley.
When you are riding it
home, can see the finish line, don't spit da bit, begin beating the ass
with your riding whip and yell out like Tarzan, who's yo daddy. When
she screams FL, don't take it too hard, life goes on.

That's whatcha get for using a real OS. :-) It sucks. I was an OS/2 user when it was the best thing out there and I sure got left by the wayside. But Netscape for OS/2 was pretty good about keeping up. Have you tried using any of the alternative browsers?

Me be in de Bay Area, where we gots Emeryville, SF (Family Billiards), more importantly Shorline Billiards in Mountain View, also a very classy club in San Rafael, quite a few nice halls in the peninsula, Sunnyvale/ Campbell/ San Jose area, and some nasty (not so safe) places in Oakland, San Pablo, etc.

Hi,

I'm in MA, seems lonely. I have not signed up on that frappr
site, but it was cool to see the distribution of the members that
have. It's pretty lonely out here, in fact about 20 miles to a
real pool hall. :(
