I went to the Glass city open this weekend, Johnny Archer won beating Earl Strickland in the finals. I will explain more about it tomorrow it's late and I'm tired.

I didn't know there were any big tournements in Ohio! I'd have tried to catch a greyhound down there or something if I could've scrounged together enough cash.

I went to the Galss City Open, my first pro tournament I ever been to. The following players
were in it, Earl Strickland, Johnny Archer, Corey Duel, Nick Varner, Steve Putnam, Kid Delicious, to
name a few. Earl won the winners bracket, he pretty much breezed through the competition, he put Archer on the losers side, he had one match
that went 9-9 but other then that nothing tuff. Archer pretty much did the same except losing to Earl and having one match go hill hill that would of knocked him out.
I was most impressed with Earl, I felt he was way above everyone even Archer, funny as crazy as Earl is I found myself routing for him.
He beat Archer 10-6 to put him on the losers side, but in the finals he had Archer 7-5 then all of a sudden he just cracked and fell apart, he missed an easy 6 ball that would of made it 8-5 then he
missed an easy 6 ball on the next rack, then he missed an easy 7 ball on the rack after that, it's
now 8-7 Archer, instead of 10-5 match over. next rack he misses a makeable 2 ball but not a gimme, Archer now leads 9-7, next rack Earl misses a makebale four ball but he gets lucky and hooks Archer, Archer hits it but leaves Earl an easy shot Earl runs the remaining four balls, its now 9-8, Last rack Johnny gets to the table pots the 1 ball, then as he is going to shoot the 2 ball Earl gets up messes up the balls and forfeits the set. The run out was makeable but not guaranteed.
Oh well if Earls mental Game was intact I don't know who could beat him, every time I see him play he loses because he cracks, if he does'nt crack he wins the set.
I plan on entering this tournament next year, it should be fun.

Hey Sodapop, I am going to put three hundred dollar bills in a frame on the wall beside my table, and everytime I go down to practise I'll look at them and know thats my entry to the Glass City Open next year, and it's time to bear down.
