CAL POLY 9 BALL TOURNAMENT!

I am joining a 9 ball tournament next friday. I've beat some people there and I know some can beat me. I plan to learn to run 3 balls and to work on my break and safety play.

I have no desire to win the thing I just want to play people and hopefully play someone good, to which I can learn something from.

How should I prepeare for this? I am no run out player, and I need to work on my safety play. Any way I can prepare myself to put up a fight next friday?

No caffene for me this week, just water. I will walk 1 mile every day. 4 racks or 8-7, force follows, draws, then the banks, then tough cuts, 20 racks of 3 ball drills run perfectly, then learn 3 safeties or so minutes. Then 2 hours of 9 ball. 8 hours of sleep. Then the day before no pool and rest my eyes.

Any other suggestions?

Gian, sounds like you have it all covered. Do you best but most of all enjoy yourself. Remember, it is called playing a "game" of pool. It's not life and death.

can't join the tournament.. I have a biology test on monday...
