Why is it that sometimes when I open the site it will show a bunch of topics as not being read that I have already read. Is there anyway to clear these without having to open each one. I know on the Southern Billiards board they have a thing where you can mark one part or all of the forum as read.

I think it's probably an error on the part of your browser. How often does this happen, and did you do anything beforehand to cause it? (clear your cookies, perhaps?)
As for making forums as read, I'm afraid it seems that phpBB doesn't have that feature. I'll look into it.

Let me be up front with ya webdude, I am a 'puter illiterate. I couldn't clear a cookie if I wanted to. Dunno, it just seems to be sparotic. Must be in my system. Agravatiing to have to go manually clear a bunch by having to open each when you know you already read and in fact on some you are the last poster.
That's OK, guess I'm just gettin' cranky in my old age. :-D
Thanks, Pel

One other thing, I can read all the post in "Ask Fast Larry" and they will all show cleared but when I go to the main index it indicates there is unread post in "Ask Fast larry"

OK, I answered my own question about the "Ask Fast Larry" thing. The stickys don't indicate unread but will casue the main index to indicate it.

Glad you figured that one out. Took me a little while to figure out when I first started working here.
