If you have had problems posting on PoolChat and are using AOL, the problem lies within the browser that comes with AOL.

To use PoolChat, minimize AOL, and open either Internet Explorer 6.0+ or Mozilla Firefox. Then proceed to www.poolchat.net, sign in, and try again. If you are still having problems, contact me at poolchattech@gmail.com.

Mozilla Firefox can be downloaded from www.mozilla.org. It is the fastest and most stable browser out there right now. The download is around 4.7 megs, and will take around 20 minutes on a dialup modem.

So what is it about AOL that prevents me from using their browser to come directly here?

In the past I have been reluctant to use IE and so I didn't come here too often. In fact not much at all.

AOL does provide more security when I am using their browser and I wonder if I lose that by using IE.

Supposedly the new and improved IE is better.

Not new. Posted all over the place as Bluewolf, Watch out for AOL! We got hacked last November and over 10 months seen them do all kinds of weird stuff with AOL.

Not saying it is AOL's fault. Yet, the crack was so bad, they used files from AOL to get themselves on their 'whitelist'.

This was one of those real bad 'trogan rootkits' that is supposed be impossible to find, cept the experts with their fancy tools. I lucked out, just a couple odd things I knew were weird. Be careful.

If you question this, go to www.darkreading.com,
www.packetstormsecurity.com, www.securityfocus.com. If any of those are down, google blackhat, sysinternals, defcon, hacking

This is 'global',Just not well known how bad it is.
It aint just windows, but Linux,Macosx too. It don't care what OS is running.

safest place to be is at the table.
