I would just like to take this time (and I know I'll be speaking for everybody) to honor Fast Larry for giving up so much of his time to make sure that we all learn this game the right way. I know I can't run 3 friggin' balls, but with Larry's instruction, I know there's hope. Hats off to ya, Larry.

Your biggest fan,
Debra Li

PS: Thanks for the flowers & candy!!!!

What a beautiful post, it is accepted and those same warm thoughts shall be reflected back. I firmly believe one should do on to others, as they do on to you. oops, did I get that one backwards. I do know this, we all need to get together, work together and not fight as most of us love this game and it advances working as one not divided.

Some thoughts for the day if I may quote other wise men:

"Do, or do not. There is no 'try'." – Yoda

It is all about visualization, focus, concentration and playing in the zone. You just see it, feel it, do it: It does not get any deeper than this? Play pool with an empty mind. “FL”

“Flow with what ever may happen and let your mind be free: Stay centered by accepting what ever you are doing and what ever comes your way.”
Chuang-Tzu.

Opportunities multiply as they are seized." - Sun Tzu

Our greatest glory consists not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall.
Author: Confucius

Do not expect over night success. The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. How does an ant eat an Elephant, one bite at a time?

"When we see clearly, the great teachings are the same." eighteenth-century Japanese Zen poet Ryokan,

"A single conversation across the table with a wise teacher is worth a month's study of books" - Chinese Proverb

“Flow with what ever may happen and let your mind be free: Stay centered by accepting what ever you are doing and what ever comes your way.”
Chuang-Tzu.

From Lao Tzu's Tao Te Ching we learn that simplicity, patience, and compassion are our three greatest treasures, and that peace should be our highest value. We learn that happiness comes from doing for others and wealth comes from giving to others. And finally, "Love the world as yourself; then you can care for all things." "Kindness in words creates confidence. Kindness in thinking creates
profoundness. Kindness in giving creates love." - Lao-Tzu

Opportunities multiply as they are seized." - Sun Tzu

Quote from Buddha " What we think we become.

Train your Chi forces to align and flow down your center as they are supposed to. Your Wa becomes at peace and you are in full harmony. You can now let your internal forces flow going with that which is natural for you. When in doubt, always go with what you know. Achieve full harmony and peace, feel calm and tranquil. You do not wish to fight with any one any more. You see no purpose in that now when peace is now upon you and with you. You are now one with the shot. “FL”

If you wish to experience peace, provide peace for another. If you wish to know that you are safe, cause another to know that they are safe. If you wish to better understand seemingly incomprehensible things, help another to better understand. If you wish to heal your own sadness or anger, seek to heal the sadness or anger of another. Suffering originates from ignorance and the inability to feel another's pain. "Yet true happiness comes from a sense of peace and contentment, which in turn must be achieved through the cultivation of altruism, of love and compassion, and elimination of ignorance, selfishness and greed. Any task, deed or project that makes you happy and brings you satisfaction and joy should be undertaken. Making money on it should never be part of the equation. Even if you know you are going to lose money on it, if you can afford to do it you should. " Everything has a right to live. If you find a spider in your house, put him on a piece of paper and carry him out side to set him free. Respect all life forms. The Dalia Lama.
Learn to do good, Cease to do harm, Control the mind, and benefit others. "Set your heart on doing good. Do it over and over again, and you will be filled with joy. "It is better to conquer yourself than to win a thousand battles. Then the victory is yours. It cannot be taken from you, not by angels or by demons, heaven or hell." Buddha.
"You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. The second is like it, you shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments depend all the law and the prophets." - MATTHEW 22:37-40

Very cool, you just set the world record for posting the most smiley faces. You are now famous.

We all agree FL is a legend and the only reason we are hear is to learn from him and the other legend Grady Mathews. The side bar is the main forum where we can shop ideas back and forth. The question is, who is the Chinese chick who posted these 1000 smiley faces and then attacked you. I guess the board removed the post but what I read was not nice. What's the story on that?

It's a little group of fags, a couple of bull dykes, a couple of tail gunners who stalk and harass me because I called their pretty boy a ###. They come in, make one post, then go off on me and the board cans them. You attack any pro or teacher with VIP 5 STAR status on this board and there are 3 on that level, you are out of here. The board is committed to stand behind its pros and to their credit they have done that for me.

Any body who can make the shots you have on your web site is a legend. If that does not make you one, then what do you gotta do? I got your tape and you have 2 hours more of them and I could not believe my eyes. If some chick comes in here and goes off on you dont sweat it man. Most of them cant run 3 balls so what do they know.

Yes you are a legend in my book. Keep teaching what you are teaching and your legend just continues to grow.

Holy Toledo, you got to 2 billion people. If that does not make you a legend, then what does?
Un believable, I damn near fell over.

I just want to say that I think it is awesome that masters of the game will share advice for free with any who ask. I've been reading these for a while, and while there isn't a lot here yet, I'm sure it will become a very active community.

Whoa!! There isn't a lot here yet?? Man oh Man, have you got to go into the archives. Whew... There is so much collective wisdom here that it is scary. And be sure to check out Blackjack David Sapolis's website. Awesome. Ditto for Fast Larry's website.

The key here isn't to have 500 bozos positng, what a waste of time. It's much better to have a handful of pro's and others who are really into pool and have something valuable to offer. Spare me the complaining, personal attacks, and garbage that one finds so often on some other sites. BPN is my FAVORITE place....

Cheers!

Hehe, soon after posting that I realized that posts were filtered by date, and saw the extent of the archives. At least I'll have enough to read for a while :-D

Once you learn to get back into the archives and into the tutorial sections, there is enough material to have you reading for months.
